Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. This page explains which cookies autoelectro.ie uses.
Cookies we use
At the moment we only use strictly necessary cookies. They are needed for the shop to work – for example to remember the contents of your basket, keep you logged in to your account and protect the website. These cookies do not require your consent and cannot be switched off in our systems.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart | Remember the contents of your basket | Session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Link your basket to your visit | 2 days |
| wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* | Keep you logged in to your account | Session or up to 14 days (“Remember me”) |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Check that your browser accepts cookies | Session |
| woocommerce_recently_viewed | Show recently viewed products | Session |
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or social media cookies. If we add them in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Payment providers
When you pay, our payment providers may set their own cookies needed to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the basket and checkout will not work.
